Parrish Florida real estate can lay claim to being one of the earliest developments of Florida homes. One of the first recordings of Parrish homes is of an area of land known as Oak Hill which was purchased from the U.S.Government in 1850 by Captain William B Hooker.The land changed hands several times mainly between military officers and was not known as Parrish property until Crawford Parrish arrived in 1869 and purchased sufficient land to begin his farming operations in the area.
