Real estate in Sarasota is part of nations economic woes, it does not matter if you live in a Bradenton condo or one of the many fine Sarasota waterfront properties, the diminishing value of Sarasota homes is an integral part of the very real economic problems facing America today.
It does not take a genius to work out that when homeowners have positive equity in their homes, they have the confidence to spend. It does not really matter what they spend on,be it home improvements,a new car or even fine dining, every time they splash out it is a contribution to creating another job. One more job means ,one more tax payer and one less person needing a hand out from the state.
It really is that simple and nearly everyone gets it except our beloved leaders, if I am wrong and they do indeed get it,why are they not listening to the experts from the housing industry who are shouting out the message from the roof tops. If you are reading this blog please watch the following video, you may even like to send a link to your political representative and just give him or her a nudge to remind them that it will soon be time to have your say.
Great weekend coming up for residents of Sarasota properties, high on the agenda for all owners of Sarasota homes must be an exhibition by the Ringling College of Art and Design. The exhibition which opens on September 30 and runs through October 26 will be held at the Selby gallery and the Basch gallery. The aim of the exhibition is to show off the multi faceted talents of the college teachers with displays of work covering digital film, computer animation, fine arts and many more interesting topics. So whatever the location of your Sarasota real estate make the effort to support the faculty of this center of excellence which kicks off with a reception at 5 pm.
Supporters of the Arts should head for the Ringling Museum on Saturday October 1st to view an exhibition of color studies by the late artist Josef Albers who has influenced a generation of present day artists. Too busy this weekend, no problem the event runs until 16 January 2012.
Feeling energetic, then get down to the Sarasota Sailing Squadron HQ on Saturday October 1 at 8.00am and give a helping hand to the annual monofilament cleanup which helps to support the seabirds which make their homes around our shores. Lunch is provided so numbers are required; call 232-2363 to register.
Residents of Siesta Key homes are in for a busy day on Sunday October 2 as they welcome competitors and spectators alike to their beautiful barrier island for the 28th Annual Sharks Siesta Key Sprint Triathlon. Spectators need to leave their Sarasota properties early as the race starts at 7.30am and I am pretty sure the competing athletes will have been there much earlier to warm up for what by any standards is a very grueling event. The event is held to support the Sarasota YMCA swim team so come on all Sarasota residents and give your support to all these fine athletes who devote so much of their spare time for a very worthy cause.
The importance of staging Sarasota real estate
The importance of staging Sarasota real estate can never be overstated.Buyers viewing Sarasota homes for sale form an opinion of a home within a few seconds of walking in the front door.It is therefore vitally important that your Sarasota home creates a good impression and stands out from all the other Sarasota properties that the prospective buyer has or will view before making a decision on which Sarasota property to buy.
It does not matter if your home is a small Bradenton condominium or a huge Venice waterfront property, if you have too much stuff in there the chances are the home will appear cluttered and and smaller than it actually is. When staging your home the word LESS should be your fall back and final decision maker.
Light and by that I mean sunlight is also important, there are a few folks who like to live in the dark but most people live in Florida homes because they like sunlight so make sure there is plenty in your home.
I know pets are an emotive subject but because you love Molly the cat and Brad the bulldog, show them how much you love them by allowing them a small trip somewhere nice whilst your home is being viewed by a potential buyer.
Photographs and memorabilia should be packed away,it will surprise you I know that many people do not care what you looked like twenty years ago and even less about the Boston Red Sox.
Act on the following video and stand back in amazement at how good your home can really look.
Equity or the lack of it in Sarasota homes has a huge impact on the local economy. When owners of Sarasota real estate do not have much if any equity in their home they lack the confidence to commit funds to large ticket items such as home improvements and updating their furniture. This is one obvious area where the local economy suffers from the drop in prices of Sarasota properties.
But has anybody ever thought how the fall in property price of Palmer Ranch homes very easily impacts on people working say in Lakewood Ranch and living in nearby Bradenton homes.
The answer really is very simple, the Palmer Ranch resident may be the owner of a small business based in Lakewood Ranch, traditionally small business owners have borrowed from banks using equity in their home value as collateral to finance their business expansion. With no equity to use as collateral the Palmer Ranch property owner is unable to provide funds that will allow his business to grow , without expansion all too often small businesses wither and die and so we enter the vicious circle of decline.
The following video really lays out the fact that without a healthy real estate market, the economy of America will continue to decline.

Fall is the traditional time across America for planting trees and it is no different for the folks living in Sarasota homes. If horticulture is your thing a visit to Philippi Park Estate on Saturday will reap rich dividends (excuse the pun) as vendors from across Florida bring thousands of plants and trees to the annual rare fruit tree sale hosted by the Sarasota Fruit and Nut Society. You should not miss this one folks if you want to eat delicious fruit grown in the garden of your Sarasota home.
Owners of Sarasota homes who are thinking of remodeling should consider an Eco friendly kitchen for their Sarasota property. Not only will this benefit the rest of mankind and all the creatures with whom we share this beautiful planet but will also contribute savings to energy and water consumption therefore cutting the running costs of Sarasota real estate.
I do not know any person who does not like the word free, so make a start on ways to save money and at the same time protect the environment by watching the following video before you start planning the remodel of your Sarasota home.
Good reasons to buy Sarasota property
There are many good reasons to buy Sarasota property, not least to enjoy the lifestyle that owners of Sarasota homes take for granted. Sunshine and beautiful beaches kick off the list but this peaceful laid back city has much more to offer citizens who own Sarasota properties. Cultural and sporting activities abound whilst there are restaurants to suit all palettes and pockets.
But wait a minute you could enjoy all these things by simply renting one of many Sarasota condominiums without the worry of investing in Sarasota real estate. After all, many people have lost equity in their homes during the financial turmoil of recent years and it is difficult to argue the case for real estate has a short or medium term investment.
However, if you are one of many amongst who seek long term financial stability and good value for money then investing in your own Sarasota real estate has a very strong case. Watch the following video and see if it makes sense to you.
